Gotu Kola Extract: Soothing, moisturizer. Rich in phenolic acid, amino acids and flavonoids that help hydrate and retain moisture to improve the appearance of skin tone and inflammation.

 

Vegetable Collagen: Humectant, moisturizer. Binds moisture to reduce trans epidermal water loss (TEWL) and keeps the skin looking firm and plump.

 

Black & Green Tea Extracts: Antioxidant, antibacterial. Rich in flavonoids including polyphenols EGCG, tannic acid, vitamins C, E, carotenoids and caffeine, which help reduce the appearance of under eye puffiness, and smooth out skin tone.

Your skin follows a circadian rhythm that influences biological functions such as cell renewal, DNA repair, barrier protection and moisture loss. Recent studies show that the lowest DNA repair happens in the mornings; the highest cell proliferation (new cell growth) happens at night; and the highest TEWL (moisture loss) happens in the afternoons, evenings and at night.

 

Brightened may be used any time of day but for optimal benefit we recommend applying at the following times to synch with your skin's chronobiology:

 

Morning: for protection against oxidation and associated effects such as under eye puffiness and discoloration.

Afternoon and Evening: for hydration

Night: for repair and renewal

 

For best results apply after cleansing and toning. This versatile serum can be used as an eye area treatment, a spot treatment for problem areas, or in combination with any of our face oils and floral hydrosols to apply to face, neck and décolleté areas. For all day and night use. Take it on the go and use to hydrate and revive the skin, especially in dry, air-conditioned indoor areas such as offices and airplanes.
